Brief Overview: The Methanol Unit consisting of major sections as follows: Feed stock Compression, Desulfurization, Production of Synthesis Gas by Steam Reforming, Compression of Synthesis Gas and Synthesis of Crude Methanol and the production of refined Methanol by distillation.
Process Description: The Methanol Unit is located on a 300 feet by 600 foot ploy. It is designed to produce 233 MM gal/year of Federal Grade AA Methanol based on 330 operating days per year using Natural gas as feed stock.
The Methanol Unit process is based on a single train high thermal efficiency design using an ICI 100 atmosphere Synthesis loop. The process consists of four major sections as follows: Feed stock Compression, Desulfurization, Production of Synthesis Gas by steam Reforming, Compression of Synthesis Gas and Synthesis of Crude Methanol and the production of refined Methanol by distillation.
